Teachings

“Faith” is the Old English word for “trust”. It is used interchangeably with “believe”. Each of these terms are just another way of saying “to take seriously”. Anyone who takes Jesus seriously (believes Jesus) obeys Jesus because Jesus described serious consequences for obedience and disobedience to His words.

When someone says, “I don’t believe you”, they are saying, ” I don’t take you seriously, I don’t take seriously what you are saying”.

When someone says, “I believe you”, they are saying, “I take you seriously, I take seriously what you are saying”. Anyone who takes Jesus seriously (believes Jesus) obeys Jesus.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

God, Christ and Saints rule over the nations of the world in such a way as to maximize opportunities for a maximum of people to be saved. This involves a lot of patience with wicked, selfish, narcissistic, hard-hearted, back-talking sinners, giving them every chance to repent. Such patience with the wicked is not conducive to making the whole Earth a righteous Disneyland. There is plenty of time and space for good, holy saints to enjoy eachother’s company forever and ever in God’s Paradise, inside the gated community of the New Jerusalem reserved for them following the brief sufferings of this present life in the flesh.

So, Christ’s reign over the nations of the world balances two things:

1. Keeping repentant people (Christians) alive long enough to preach repentance to sinners and
2. Keeping sinners alive long enough to repent and be saved from the Lake of Fire.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9, NKJV)

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3–4, NKJV)

We (Christians) are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.  For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you (you who need our ministry).

“The law” is shorthand for “The Law of Moses”. It does not mean there is no other law such as the Law of Christ.

“God” is shorthand for “God the Father”. It does not mean there is no God the Son such as the Lord Jesus Christ.

“The Lord” is shorthand for “The Lord Jesus Christ”. It does not mean that the word “lord” cannot be used as a term of respect to other people without implying they are equal to “The Lord Jesus Christ. “

“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5, NKJV)

Jesus taught, “From the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ ” (Mark 10:6, NKJV)

Or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached? 37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if anyone is ignorant (ignoring), let him be ignorant (ignored). Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

Never forget that the religion of Christ came from the Messiah of the faithful Jews of the Middle East and spread throughout the world centuries before subduing the Roman Empire and its neighbors – all within 300 years of the public execution of this Jesus of Nazareth as a capitol criminal by the world superpower of that day, manipulated by the corrupted Jews of Jerusalem. Christianity comes from God through Jesus Christ whom He made King of Kings and Lord of Lords, giving Him all authority in Heaven and Earth.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

On the European continent, the Gospel of Jesus Christ entrenched into the Christianized Roman Empire, continuing through the Byzantine Empire, eventually subduing the barbarian hordes from the north that overran Rome and the West, providing them the ability to read and write, converting savage bands into powerful nations.

The name of Christianity was employed to rally a defense of the Mediterranean world and Europe against the Muslim colonizers culminating in the Crusades during Medieval times.

Providing the common bond that transcends national borders, bringing education resulting in prosperity and power, Christian preachers accompanied European colonizers as they subjugated the globe for crown and Christ these last 500 years.

“The White Man’s Religion” became a term, made synonymous with the religion of Jesus Christ, and an attempt then made to redirect anti-colonial, racial hostilities against Europeans into a weapon against Jesus.

More recently, this effort to redirect racial hostilities into a weapon against the religion of Jesus Christ employs the term “Whiteness” to oppose “Christian-ness”, Christian virtues, Christian practice, the Christian message, Christianity herself.

They are attempting to convert hidden, racial hostilities against “Whites” into open persecution of Christians.

Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.

And here I cannot but speak my mind, and what the concern I am under dictates to me, and it is this: I suppose, that had the Romans made any longer delay in coming against these villains, that the city would either have been swallowed up by the ground opening upon them, or been overflowed by water, or else been destroyed by such thunder as the country of Sodom perished by, for it had brought forth a 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of men much more atheistical than were those that suffered such punishments; for by their madness it was that all the people came to be destroyed.”

Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. 2 While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. 3 Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple of the house of God which had been in Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. 4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.

5 In the same hour the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. 6 Then the king’s countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other. 7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” 8 Now all the king’s wise men came, but they could not read the writing, or make known to the king its interpretation. 9 Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, his countenance was changed, and his lords were astonished.

10 The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. 11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father — your father the king — made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. 12 Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”

13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke, and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? 14 I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. 15 Now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not give the interpretation of the thing. 16 And I have heard of you, that you can give interpretations and explain enigmas. 17 Then Daniel answered, and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation. 18 O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. 19 And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him. 21 Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.

22 “But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. 23 And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. 24 Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written.

25 “And this is the inscription that was written:

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

26 This is the interpretation of each word. Mene: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; 27 Tekel: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 28 Peres: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” 29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. 31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

When someone says, “The Bible cannot be trusted, it has been corrupted”, they have in mind what they consider a higher standard and are about to recommend something else that can be trusted, that has not been corrupted. When a Roman Catholic says this, they are about to recommend their “Pope” as infallible and more worthy of trust than the Bible. When a Muslim says this, they are about to recommend the Quran.

Referencing the unbelievers as “the unclean” infers that they are to be treated as though they have a contagious disease; like lepers in the Old Testament.

Our core problem is biology. We are born in weakness and we die in weakness. And whatever wisdom we gain along the way goes with us to the grave. Governments are formed to alleviate this problem somewhat. And the description of how government officials actually work is still Romans 13. Government officials are accountable to God and God hears the prayers of the people who are faithful to His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Invest your efforts into obtaining eternal life in Jesus Christ and gaining entrance into His Kingdom from Heaven. Everything outside of this is limited.

Now I will talk about the government bosses. Remember that God put them there and gave them their jobs as bosses, so you have to do what they say. They make laws for everybody, and they make sure we all follow those laws. 2 So if you don’t do the things that their law says, you’re going against the people that God put there. And he will get those bosses to punish you. 3 People that do whatever is right don’t have to worry about those bosses. But people that do things that are wrong will get frightened of them. So if you do things that are right, the bosses will say that you are good. 4 Those government bosses really work for God, and their job is to make things good for you. But if you do things that are wrong, look out, you can be frightened of them. They will get you and punish you. God gave them that job to punish everybody that does bad things, and he helps them do it. 5 So you have to do what they say, so that they don’t punish you. And you know that it is the right thing to do, so you will not feel bad about it. 6 You have to pay tax money to the government too, for the same reason. Those government bosses work for God, and they need that money to do their job. 7 So you have to give everybody whatever you owe to them. You have to pay taxes and pay the bills the government bosses send you. And you still have to respect those bosses. 8 If ever you borrow anything from anybody, you have to give it back, so that you don’t owe anything to anybody. But you always owe each other this one thing, you have to love each other. If you love other people, you keep God’s law. 9 God’s law says, “Love other people just as much as you love yourself.” You know there are lots of other laws too, like, “Don’t sleep with somebody that you are not married to, as if they are your wife or husband,” and, “Don’t murder anybody,” and, “Don’t steal anything,” and, “If something belongs to somebody else, don’t think about getting it for yourself.” But if you really love other people, you will not do any of those wrong things anyway. So that law that says to love people, it says what all the other laws say when you listen to them all together. 10 If you really love people, you will never do bad things to them, so you will be doing what God’s law says you have to do.

I’m writing now about your church meetings. The first thing I want to tell you is that you have to pray for all sorts of people. Ask God to help people that have problems. Tell him all about them, and ask him to help them. Always thank God too, for everything that he does for people. 2 Pray for the bosses over your nation, both the big bosses and those other bosses that work for them. Ask God to help them run the nation the right way, so that we can live happy and quiet lives, and so that we can respect God properly, and live his way. 3 If we pray for everybody like that, we make God happy. He is the one that saves us, 4 and he wants to save everybody. He wants everybody to know the true message about Jesus. 5 You see, there is only one God, and there is only one man that can stand between God and us people, to bring us back to God and ask him not to punish us. That man is Jesus Christ. 6 He let people kill him. When he died, he took the payback for everybody, so that now God can save anybody. He died like that at just the right time to show everybody that God really wants to save them.

Go into every situation and announce the good news (the plea agreement) to every person. 16 Whoever trusts (agrees, accepts) and is submerged (is subjugated, submits) will be preserved (spared); but whoever does not trust (agree, accept) will be condemned (at the Judgement).
